Teaching Assistant - PMLD - Dover

Do you have experience supporting young people with special needs as a care worker or teaching assistant?

Have you got experience or training in Personal Care, Moving & Handling or medical needs?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support a pupils on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis. This role will be on a adhoc supply basis and some roles would be starting ASAP.

You would may need to provide medical needs support during the school day. You would also need:

- To undertake personal care as some of the pupils require adult help to ensure they can undress, use the toilet, wash hands and redress. This is due to a lack of dexterity, poor fine motor skills and a lack of concentration.

- Support people to eat and drink safely 

A Moving and Handling People qualification is desired but not essential - as some of the children have mobility impairments and may require use of a manual wheelchair during the school day.

On top of this you will be required to undertake standard LSA/TA duties.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
