SEN TA to join a great school in Harrow, HA2 – Immediate start

 

We are currently looking for passionate and patient SEN TA to work 1:1 with a year 3 learner with ADHD and a complex social and emotional history. The school is based in Harrow and has excellent transport links close by. The school has a private car park if you need you have your own form of transport.

 

The Role:

ü Monitor and record the students behaviour

ü Assist the other pupils

ü Monitor the students reading and change book levels where necessary

ü Update parents about their child’s behaviour/progress

ü Make sure my 1:1 pupil has taken their medication

ü Issue daily homework to my 1:1

ü Mark books and attend any meetings

 

The ideal candidate will:

· Minimum NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools or is degree qualified is essential

· Show commitment to working with pupils with special educational needs

· Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· The ability to manage confrontation and challenging behaviour

· Have an understanding and empathy toward pupils and parents

· Adapting support according to needs

As a potential applicant with previous experience with Autism, ADHD, EBD, PMLD, etc. is favourable however, overall experience with working with SEN children will be taken into account. Additional training for SEN is great but not crucial as are able to offer course such as, NASEN, Autism Awareness Training and Read, Write Inc. Phonics Training. This role is full time and it will start after Febuary half term.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
