SEN Teaching Assistant

There is an open vacancy for an experienced individual looking to support students with Autism and Social Communication challenges.

This small mainstream secondary school situated in Trafford is looking for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant who can work with specific students in the school’s resource centre away from mainstream classes. This position will entail supporting as a 1 to 1 TA working on social skills and interactions with other individuals. The school looks to integrate students into mainstream classes for Maths, Science and English with the TA supporting these individuals specifically. Any experience of specific needs such as Autism or moderate learning difficulties is desirable in this role.

The successful SEN TA will be working with a specific cohort of students assigned to one or two in particular with the students being year 7 to year 10 in the main.
