Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of an OFSTED graded "Good" school in the Northallerton area, who are looking to recruit a teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. There is a possibility that the position may be made permanent for the successful candidate. Ideally the successful applicant will experience working within an educational setting supporting students with PMLD, SLD, MLD and ASC, however individuals with a desire to work in this field will also be considered.

The School, located within beautiful surroundings, hosts around 200 pupils and has access to a 5.5 acre farm on site. The school has excellent sporting facilities and is easily accessible from the A1 with on site parking

An enthusiastic and proactive teaching assistant is required to assist pupils in their day to day learning and routines. The successful candidate will be required to work with pupils across the key stages. You will have a desire for working with young people and be looking to make a real difference. You must be a strong role model, motivated and dedicated to providing outstanding teaching support.

The ideal teaching assistant will -

* Have experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age

* Have numeracy/literacy skills (at a level equivalent to NQF Level 2)

* Have an understanding of the role of the Teaching Assistant and other professionals working in the classroom

* Have an understanding of national/foundation stage curriculum and other basic learning programmes/strategies

* Have an accredited Team-Teach qualification (Teaching Personnel can offer this training)
