Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting an SEN teaching assistant on behalf of our client school located in Bolton.

This multicultural secondary school located on the outskirts of Bolton town centre wish to appoint a SEN teaching assistant who can support the learning of individual pupils who have special education needs.

  • Full time SEN teaching assistant position - ASAP Start
  • Supporting the learning of pupils aged between 11 and 16 in various subjects including Maths, English and Science
  • Temporary post until July 2018 with potential progression opportunities
  • Opportunity to work within a supportive school with well disciplined pupils

Due to a gap within their support team, this school are looking to appoint a SEN teaching assistant who holds experience working with pupils with special needs. Previous experience working within secondary education is desirable but not essential. All applicants must have transferable skills related to working with secondary aged pupils and hold a passion for supporting the learning of pupils.

The successful applicant's role as an SEN teaching assistant will involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, whilst also providing small group support with a focus on Year 7 and 8 children.

Located on the outskirts of Bolton town centre, this school is just a short drive from the M61 motorway. Access is straight forward to the surrounding areas and the public transport links make Bury, Salford, Wigan and Chorley easily accessible via reliable bus routes. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
