SEN Teaching Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Leyland to support a young child who finds school challenging and struggles to self regulate his behaviour. The child is receiving assessment to get an EHCP.

As well as providing 1:1 support to this child you may also be required to be general classroom support and help students stay on task and engaged throughout the school day.

The school believes that they should give every student equal opportunities and have an ohnus on ensuring that students will not fall behind throughout lockdown.

The school focuses on nurture based theory meaning all staff in school must adopt a nuturing approach to all aspects of learning. A nurturing approach recognises that positive relationships are central to both learning and wellbeing. A key aspect of a nurturing approach is an understanding of attachment theory and how a child's early experiences can have a significant impact on their development.

This role is fulltime 8.30 am until 3pm Monday – Friday.

The pay for this role is GBP70 per day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
