The SEN teaching assistant will benefit from support of the school, opportunities to complete professional development courses through Teaching Personnel and a large highly supportive SEN department at this secondary school. Reporting to the SENCO, the successful SEN TA will be working within a team of support staff with their own timetable to work through and a list of students who have been identified as requiring specific support.
As a successful and confident SEN TA, you should have relevant experience in supporting either in a secondary school setting or with students in an educational environment. This is a full time support position due to start following the Easter break.
Highlights of this SEN TA position:
- Rates of pay ranging from GBP1225 – GBP1350 per month
- Full time SEN teaching assistant role, starting 19th April 2021
- Highly rewarding job role working as a SEN teaching assistant, supporting the most vulnerable students within the single sex secondary school
- Regular training and CPD opportunities direct with the school and Teaching Personnel
The specific role of a SEN teaching assistant will be to support specific students who have been identified from their educational health care plans with the special educational needs department putting provisions in place to provide the support required to enhance the student’s learning experience. Any experience supporting students on a 1:1 basis who might have moderate learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, dyslexia or social emotional behaviour support will be highly desirable.
This secondary school is situated in the Trafford area making it very easy to access from the nearby areas of Stretford, Altrincham, Chorlton, Sale and Didsbury in Manchester. This mixed secondary school has fantastic facilities and a large on site SEN provision. The school is located near to the local Metrolink station and is regularly serviced by buses and public transport. The M60 and M56 also service the school well.
If you are a teaching assistant currently or have experience in supporting any young people with special needs, then apply now with your latest CV outlining your experience. For any further information, please apply as below to arrange a phone call.
