Food Technology Teacher (with KS3 Product Design)
Location: Northamptonshire
Start Date: 13th April 2026
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated Outstanding secondary school in Northamptonshire to recruit a Food Technology Teacher for a full-time permanent position starting 13th April 2026.

The Role
The successful candidate will primarily teach Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a small number of Key Stage 3 Product Design lessons within the wider Design & Technology curriculum.
The department places a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on learning and encourages creativity, independence, and real-world skills development.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4

Teach a small number of KS3 Product Design lessons

Plan and deliver engaging practical lessons that develop students’ skills and confidence

Monitor, assess, and track student progress

Contribute positively to the wider Design & Technology department

The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level

Ability or willingness to teach KS3 Product Design
