Food Technology Teacher (with KS3 Product Design)
Location: Northamptonshire
Start Date: 13th April 2026
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated Outstanding secondary school in Northamptonshire to recruit a Food Technology Teacher for a full-time permanent position starting 13th April 2026.

The Role

The successful candidate will primarily teach Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a small number of Key Stage 3 Product Design lessons within the wider Design & Technology curriculum.

The department places a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on learning and encourages creativity, independence, and real-world skills development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Teach a small number of KS3 Product Design lessons

  • Plan and deliver engaging practical lessons that develop students’ skills and confidence

  • Monitor, assess, and track student progress

  • Contribute positively to the wider Design & Technology department

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level

  • Ability or willingness to teach KS3 Product Design

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
