SEN teaching assistant job in South Croydon primary school

Job description

Learning Support Assistant staff required to work in a large SEN school in the South Croydon area on a day to day basis.

If you have experience supporting children with autism and are looking for part time work as a teaching assistant, this opportunity could be suitable for you.

The school regularly use agency staff to cover absences due to sickness, training courses, medical appointments, holiday, jury service and other planned absences.

You will need the following:

  • Experience of working with special needs, particularly autism
  • An understanding of how to use PECs or Makaton is desirable
  • References from your previous employers
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
  • To be able to travel to South Croydon for an 08:30am start and a 15:30pm finish each day that you work

Staff registering with Teaching Personnel will have a consultant to keep in contact with, opportunities to further your career in the SEN sector, CPD courses available at a reduced cost or free and opportunity to take part in the Refer a Friend Scheme, which is available to all staff and offers a £50 bonus if you refer another member of support staff who then works for us too.
