SEN Teaching Assistant – Stretford (M16)

Salary: £83+ per day (PAYE, no umbrella company or agency fees)

Contract Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (approx.)

About Us: At Teaching Personnel, we believe in making a positive impact on the lives of young learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are excited to present an opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated SEN Secondary School in Trafford. This school is part of a successful diocese trust and is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students with a range of needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN in academic and social settings.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and behaviour support strategies.
  • Support students in developing emotional regulation and social interaction skills.
  • Monitor and track student progress, offering regular feedback to the teaching team and parents/guardians.

About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will utilize your expertise in ASC and Learning Difficulties to contribute to the growth and development of our students. You will be an integral part of creating a positive learning environment and supporting students in their social, emotional, and academic journey.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Learning Difficulties (MLD).
  • Full-time availability, Monday to Friday.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Registration with Teaching Personnel.
