Job description

An SEN school in Manchester is looking for teaching assistants to take on full-time positions to support a range of ages with multiple and complex additional needs. The school works with children from KS3 to KS5, and have mixed ability and age groups to ensure the children get the most suitable support during their learning experience.

Due to the different additional needs that the children have, the students will be working mostly at a primary level and will also need adaptations made to their work to ensure that they are working at a suitable level. The students will also require lessons to be planned in an engaging and fun way to keep focus and keep challenging behaviour levels low.

For this role you should –

  • Have a compassionate and caring personality
  • Have previous SEN experience in a school or care setting
  • Be comfortable assisting with personal care if needed
  • Be able to give individualised support to students and provide feedback of this support to senior levels of staff

This role will be a full-time role and you will be expected to work the full hours. The school are interviewing for this role over the next few weeks, so please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible if you are interested.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
