Job description

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for committed SEN Teaching Assistants to support a leading and popular SEN school based in between Ware and Hertford. We have both day-to-day and long-term positions available, focusing on 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs.

What We're Looking For:

  • Passionate about supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism

  • Confident working 1:1 or in small groups (phonics or SATs support experience is a bonus)

  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

  • Patient, empathetic and proactive

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • Understanding of child development and experience with IEPs and EHCPs

Essential Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Full employment history listed on your CV

  • Two professional references from the last two years

  • Overseas police check if applicable
