A highly respected SEN school in St Albans is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting pupils aged 2–19 with Profound and Severe Learning Difficulties (PMLD & SLD).

Your Role Will Include:

• Supporting pupils with SEN during lessons, break times, and enrichment activities

• Assisting the class teacher with tailored learning plans and classroom routines

• Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

• Providing one-to-one and small group support

• Helping maintain classroom resources and equipment

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience or strong training in SEN, PMLD, or SLD settings

• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to learning support

• A genuine passion for inclusive education and child development

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Previous experience working with children with additional needs is highly desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
