Job description

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on the lives of students with complex learning needs, including autism, communication challenges, and physical disabilities. You will work alongside teachers and therapists to provide essential support, helping pupils thrive in both classroom activities and daily routines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN

  • Assist in delivering personalised learning programmes

  • Support students with personal care needs (including toileting and feeding)

  • Promote independence and encourage positive behaviour

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and external professionals

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in school, care, or support settings)

  • Confidence and sensitivity when assisting with personal care

  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to working with vulnerable students

  • Enhanced Child-only DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Availability for full-time, term-time work (Monday to Friday)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
