Teaching Personnel is seeking to hire a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to provide support to students with complex and severe learning difficulties in the Newton Abbot area. In this role, you will collaborate with class teachers and other Teaching Assistants. As an HLTA, your responsibilities will include assisting students in their academic and social development. Building strong professional relationships with students is essential to foster their growth.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Assisting students with medical needs.
- Supervising students during break times.
- Providing constructive feedback on students' progress.
- Communicating with parents about students' progress.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and possess strong communication skills.

Additional duties may include attending meetings and training sessions to enhance your role. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for permanency following a probationary period. Teaching Personnel offers competitive pay based on experience, ongoing CPD training, and the support of a Recruitment Consultant dedicated to representing you in Newton Abbot.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
