SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS9 

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£85 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to children with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support pupil with their academic and personal development
  • Manage behaviour and encourage positive social interactions

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Understanding of special educational needs and different learning styles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a classroom setting
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviour
  • Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
