SEN Teaching Assistant
Location:
Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS12
Job Type:
Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£85 - £100 Per day
Job Duties:
- Supporting and assisting children with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning and development
- Implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to pupils as needed
- Assisting with classroom activities, including preparing materials and resources
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress and behaviour
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Relevant experience working with individuals with SEN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred
Experience:
Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN and different learning needs
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual pupil requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- SEN-specific qualifications or training
- First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
Work primarily in a classroom setting, assisting children with SEN. May require some physical activity and the ability to respond to challenging behaviour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
