SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS25

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary:

£85 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
  • Assist the teacher in implementing individual education plans for children with SEN
  • Support pupils with personal care needs, if required
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or individuals with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working with children or individuals with SEN is required

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different learning needs and styles
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy towards students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom environment with pupils with SEN. The work may be physically demanding at times. The position is temporary and requires full-time availability.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
