SEN Teaching Assistant
Location:
Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS12
Job Type:
Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary:
£85 - £100 Per day
Job Duties:
- Supporting the educational and social development of children with special educational needs (SEN)
- Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans for pupils
- Providing one-to-one support to children with SEN in the classroom
- Helping pupils with SEN to participate in all aspects of the curriculum
- Collaborating with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to support pupil progress
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Experience working with individuals with special educational needs
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and best practises
Education:
Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs
Experience:
Prior experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience and empathy when working with children with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in supporting students with autism, dyslexia, or other specific needs
- First aid certification
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily takes place in a school setting
- May involve occasional lifting or assisting pupils with mobility needs
- Collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals is essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
