SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time
Fallowfield | January Start | 8:30am – 3:30pm

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a highly regarded, inclusive primary school in Fallowfield that is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from January.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through both one-to-one and small-group interventions within a nurturing, high-achieving environment.

Your Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide targeted support to pupils with SEN on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Support the implementation, monitoring, and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external specialists to support pupil progress
  • Adapt strategies and approaches to meet individual learning needs

What We’re Looking For

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience supporting children with SEN
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
  • Level 2 Safeguarding certification (or willingness to complete training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
