SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a well-regarded primary school in Sale that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This full-time position will involve providing both one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.

The Role

In this role, you will:

  • Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN
  • Support teachers with the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities
  • Deliver focused interventions to help pupils achieve individual learning targets
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to meet pupils’ needs

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to form positive relationships
  • A patient, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to learning support
  • A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • A Level 2 Safeguarding qualification (or willingness to complete training provided)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
