SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Moston | November Start
Teaching Personnel is proud to be partnering with a highly regarded and inclusive primary school in Moston to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time position (8:30am – 3:30pm), starting in November, focused on delivering tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through one-to-one and small group interventions.
The school has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and is known for its nurturing ethos and commitment to providing a broad, balanced curriculum that supports every learner. You’ll be joining a collaborative and welcoming team that values the impact of high-quality support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver focused support to pupils with SEN, both individually and in small groups
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering personalised learning activities
- Support the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to monitor pupil progress
- Adapt support strategies in response to pupil development and needs
What We’re Looking For:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Previous experience working with children with SEN
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting young learners
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare
- Level 2 Safeguarding certification (or willingness to complete training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
