SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Moston | March Start

Teaching Personnel is proud to be partnering with a welcoming, inclusive primary school in Moston to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time position (8:30am – 3:30pm) begins in March and focuses on delivering tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through both one-to-one and small‑group interventions.

What Your Role Will Involve

  • Providing focused support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering personalised learning tasks
  • Supporting the delivery and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Helping maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to track and review progress
  • Adapting strategies and resources to meet pupils’ evolving needs

What We’re Looking For

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Level 2 Safeguarding qualification (or willingness to complete training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
