SEN Teaching Assistant | Full-Time | Moston | September 2026 Start
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Moston, seeking a passionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is dedicated to supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping pupils thrive both academically and socially. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will provide personalised support through a combination of 1:1 interventions and small group sessions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities
- Supporting the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence and independence
- Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborating with teaching staff, parents and external professionals to support pupil progress
- Adapting resources and learning strategies to meet individual needs
✅ Requirements
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN
- A patient, caring and adaptable approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- A Level 2 Safeguarding qualification or willingness to complete relevant training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
