SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time | Moston | September Start

Teaching Personnel is proud to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Moston, currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September (8:30am–3:30pm). This rewarding role focuses on providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs through a mix of 1:1 and small group work.

The Role

In this position, you will:
• Provide targeted support to pupils with SEN on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• Support the class teacher in planning and delivering personalised learning activities
• Assist with the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals
• Adapt resources and teaching strategies to meet individual pupil needs

✅ What We’re Looking For

✔ GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
✔ Experience supporting children with SEN
✔ A patient, empathetic and flexible approach
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ A commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
✔ Level 2 Safeguarding qualification (or willingness to complete training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
