SEN Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant for a client Secondary Academy in Bury.
Our client Academy has been recently refurbished with new facilities and a brand new SEN department. The Academy is now looking for dynamic and passionate staff to work alongside the SENCO and Inclusion manager within this department. In order to make sure pupils are supported within all classes, our client Academy is in need of a Teaching Assistant to work with specific pupils who have SEN.
- Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Earn up to GBP300 per week.
- Working with identified pupils with SEN including ADHD, ASC and SEMH.
- Available after October half term until the end of the end of the academic year 2020.
- Support children who have SEN both inside and outside the classroom.
- Work alongside senior members of staff to ensure all pupils are supported.
This SEN Teaching Assistant position will involve:
- Supporting identified pupils with daily school life alongside their academic studies.
- Working alongside senior teachers including the SENCO and Inclusion Manager.
- Implementing intervention sessions to improve behaviour and promote inclusion of all pupils throughout school.
- Monitor pupils’ process and record any significant improvements in students’ behaviour or academic achievement.
Application requirements
- The incoming SEN Teaching Assistant must have previous experience working with young people who have SEN or have transferrable skills to work with vulnerable young people.
- Must have a strong understanding of how to support specific SEN within a school setting.
- Any experience specifically with ASC or ADHD is also desirable.
Located in Bury, our client Secondary Academy can easily be accessed via the A56 and the M60. For non-drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Bolton, Prestwich and Rochdale.
