SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Are you interested in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs in Blackburn?
I currently work alongside a specialist school who are seeking a number of Teaching Assistants to work alongside their students.
There are TWO options available with regards to the working hours, as outlind below:
** 11:30am - 1:30pm**
OR
** 8:45 / 9:00 - 3:30pm**
The school are extremely busy with regards to their cover requirements. With this in mind, you may be pre-booked for work (you will be given advanced notice) or you may be called on the morning of the booking, to either reach the school immediately or for 11:30am, therefore you must be flexible. It is likely that once you become familiar with the school you will be added to a list of 'favourites' and be pre-booked for work on an ongoing basis.
The school caters for pupils with varying needs including ASC, PMLD, SLCN, SLD and PD. Their ages range from 4-18 and you must be willing to provide personal care including feeding, toileting and changing. This is non-negotiable.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure work in an OUTSTANDING School and would particularly suit those local to Blackburn. However, if you live in the surrounding areas and are happy to travel in, I would love to hear from you!
To work in this school you will need a Child and Adult Workforce DBS. If you do not have this, Teaching Personnel would be happy to support you in your application for this and although I cannot guarantee you work (as this is largely dependent upon how you get on), provided the feedback is good and you work hard, the school are likely to request you back on a frequent basis.
It is worth noting that this school have previously recruited staff from Teaching Personnel on a permanent basis.
If interested please contact me immediately on 01772 842155.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
