SEN Teaching Assistant - Bristol

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within the SEN unit at one of our schools in South Bristol with a 'good' OFSTED rating. This school is looking for a confident individual who has experience of working with special educational needs in either a school or in another relevant setting.

The Role:

  • To be successful you'll need to have confidence, be driven and have a desire to provide guidance and support to the pupils. A minimum of 1 year experience with children with special needs would be advantageous.
  • The role will include working with children with Autism, Asperger's, social emotional and mental health, and pupils with behavioural issues.
  • This is a full time role
  • With market-leading pay starting at £60 per day

The Candidate:

  • Candidates must have GCSE qualifications grade C and above or equivalent, and the following qualifications will strengthen your application;
    - Team Teach
    - NVQ SEN Teaching Assistant
    - Management of a Classroom
  • The teaching assistant should be enthusiastic in making a difference to pupils' education.
  • Being versatile and adapting to different situations

If successful, this role is to start as soon as possible. You will also need a Child Workforce DBS on the update service - If you have this we can process your application right away. If you don't, we can support you through the process of applying for one.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
