SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism

Teaching Personnel are working closely with an Outstanding Primary School situated in Neasden. The school are currently seeking an Autism specialist who is able to join their team immediately.

About The Role:

- Full - time

- Immediate start

- Year group: Reception

- Working one-to-one with a Reception pupil who has an Educational Healthcare Plan for Autism. The pupil is high-functioning

- Delivering one-to-one interventions

- Tailoring class activities to suit the needs of the pupil

- Monitoring and observing pupil attainment

- Providing detailed feedback to staff and parents

About The School:

This is a fantastic Primary school located in Neasden, a short walking distance away from Neasden underground station which is on the Jubilee line. The school have a strong reputation for pupil attainment and there is an experienced and supportive senior leadership team in place at the school. Additional training is provided to all members of staff and this is an amazing opportunity for learning support assistants who have plans to become a Teacher in the near future.

Please apply if:

- Hold a degree, ideal but not necessary

- Trained in supporting Autism

- At least 1 year experience supporting an autistic pupil

- Makaton trained would be ideal but not necessary

- PECS trained would be ideal but not necessary

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
