SEN Teacher Roles Available in Newport

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit fully established SEN teachers to work with a KS2 class at a client school in the Newport area, engaging the pupils and keeping them on task to meet their learning aims and objectives. Experience of teaching within an SEN environment is essential. Candidates will be asked to work between 8:30-3:30, planning and marking may be included. Manual Handling or Team teach trained is advantageous for the role as the pupils that attend the class may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour. Along with flexible hours and a competitive rate of pay ranging from £85-£100 we offer additional benefits including pension.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have gained qualified teaching status
  • Have experience working with SEN
  • Are registered with the education workforce council
  • Can confidently plan a daily routine for support staff within the classroom
  • Are either Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) or experienced classroom practitioners
  • Team teach trained

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
