SEN Teacher required in Burnley

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Burnley based SEN School which caters for pupils with additional needs and are therefore not in mainstream education. The School cater for pupils aged 10 - 17 years of age and pupils in this School may sometimes display challenging behaviours.

The pupils in this School have additional needs including; Autism, SEMH Difficulties, ODD, ADHD, PMLD and Physical Disabilities. As part of your job role you may be asked to assist with personal care and you will be expected to deliver 1:1 or small group intervention to pupils who are struggling academically.

The role will require you to deliver a range of subjects to pupils across KS2/3 and 4. Many of the pupils are working at a lower level and often pupils will have their own 1:1 Teaching Assistant support in class with them.

The candidate must be a qualified Teacher, have experience supporting children with additional needs and be willing to provide intervention when required. The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £90-130 per day

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
