Job description

A primary school in the heart of the vibrant Epsom are looking for experienced SEN teaching assistants to join their team. The school is located in a large Victorian building and are very fortunate to have many specialist rooms for activities such as music, science, art & design, computing and an space.

The school provides a nurturing environment, ensuring our children grow academically, emotionally, morally and spiritually.

The ideal candidate should have:
* Experience of working in a school environment
* Experience working with children that have SEN needs
* Experience in dealing with challenging behaviour
* Knowledge of Makaton, PECS and Read, Write Inc is desired but not essential
* Provide general daily support to the class teacher

* As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be responsible to support the students in the development of their learning, as well as their social, emotional and physical needs. You will be required to support the class teacher in all aspects of the school day as well as working very closely with each student in the class.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
