SEN Senior Support Assistant needed in Lymington

Job description

This outstanding SLD provision is currently seeking four full time SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a one-to-one and small group basis with pupils with complex learning disabilities. The residential education provision caters for pupils aged between 11 and 19 years of age, all of which are working toward allocated Educational Health Care Plans. All students have complex SEN, including: autistic spectrum disorders (ASD), severe learning difficulties (SLD) and associated challenging behaviour.

The provision caters to a wide variety of complex needs, operating in a fully inclusive and dedicated establishment which takes the education of young people with special educational needs extremely seriously, and have high expectations to fulfil personal and individual potential goals.

About the role:

  • One to one or small group support
  • Day time hours (8.30am and 3.30pm)
  • Competitive pay rates (between £9.00 and £11.00 an hour dependent on experience and qualifications)

Applicants must:

  • A current DBS or be willing to undergo one
  • Have experience working with children with SEN
  • Experience working with young people aged between 11 - 19
  • Be passionate about making a difference in schools
  • Access to own transport
