Job description

A Primary SEN School in Derby are looking a Teaching Assistant from October half term 2020. 

The School is rated OUTSTANDING by Ofsted and caters for students that have Autism - a lot of the students are non verbal and have sensory needs. 

Due to the School having such a fantastic reputation we are looking for somebody that is passionate, punctual and reliable. 

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience of supporting pupils with special educational needs.
  • Recent experience of working with ASD pupils in either EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
  • To have had training or experience of working with pupils who require behaviour or communication needs.
  • Experience of working in a special school.
  • Experience of working with a range of staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Education, Training and Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 Qualification, or equivalent.
  • To have attended relevant courses / training in the last 3 years in relation to ASD or other SEN areas.
  • A creative approach to working with children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
