SEN Learning Support Assistant
Winchester OR Basingstoke
£13.75 per hour | Term Time Only | Monday-Friday
We are looking for caring, patient, and committed SEN Learning Support Assistants to work within schools in the Winchester or Basingstoke areas.
You will be supporting children and young people aged 4-17 with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN). Roles are based in one location only (either Winchester or Basingstoke), and once you apply, we will take time to discuss your experience, interests, and age-group preferences so we can match you with a school that suits you.
We work with a variety of schools, meaning each role is different and offers the chance to gain valuable, rewarding experience within education.
The Role:

Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 or small group basis

Helping students access learning and develop confidence
-
Working closely with teachers and SEN staff
-
Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Who We’re Looking For:
-
People with a genuine interest in supporting children and young people
-
Applicants from a wide range of backgrounds are welcome, including education, care, youth work, psychology, health and social care, or those looking to move into SEN support

Previous SEN experience is helpful but not essential
-
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one
-
A positive, reliable, and compassionate approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
