Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) – SEN Provision

Location: Basingstoke
Hours: Full-time
Pay: £13.75 per hour

We are seeking caring and committed Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a specialist SEN provision in Basingstoke, supporting pupils with autism, learning difficulties, and additional needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people who require tailored support to access education, develop independence, and build essential life skills in a structured and supportive environment.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

  • Assisting with learning activities adapted to individual needs

  • Supporting communication, sensory regulation, and engagement

  • Encouraging independence and positive behaviour

  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff

  • Helping to maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment

About You:

  • Experience working in a SEN setting is helpful but not essential

  • An understanding or interest in autism and learning difficulties

  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Backgrounds in education, care, support work, or youth work are welcomed
