Job description

Here at Teaching Personnel we work closely with an SEN school based in Ebbw Vale. The client school are looking for specialist support staff to begin in September. The school caters for pupils with all types of SEN and has amazing facilities to ensure every pupil is catered for. There is an amazing Autistic provision with a fantastic out door space. The pupils within the school may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour. You will be asked to work mainly as a one to one however, 2 days a week you will be utilised as a class room assistant in the more severe classes.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and have experience of working with challenging behaviour. Manual Handling trained candidates are desirable however, training can be provided. The pupils at the school are all of primary age. The school day will commence from 9:00am and finish at 3:00pm. The rate of pay will be determined by experience, the scale ranges from £54.00-£60.00 a day. Successful candidates will benefit from ongoing support from both the school and us here at Teaching Personnel to answer any questions or deal with any issues that you may have.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
