SEN Learning Mentor – Bolton

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have experience in support work, mentoring, care, youth work or education?

Teaching Personnel is looking for caring, motivated and resilient Learning Mentors to work in SEN schools across Bolton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to use their existing experience to make a positive difference to pupils who may need additional support with their learning, behaviour, communication and emotional wellbeing.

The Role

As an SEN Learning Mentor, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
• Build positive and trusting relationships with students
• Support pupils with their learning and development
• Help pupils manage emotions and develop confidence
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
• Support pupils with communication and social skills
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals
• Help create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

We're Looking For

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals
• Previous experience in support work, mentoring, care, education or youth work is desirable
• A patient, calm and compassionate approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence supporting individuals with challenging behaviour or additional needs
• A genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
