Teaching Personnel is the UK's leading education recruitment agency - the Plymouth branch are recruiting for a full time teaching assistant to support in one of our secondary schools SEN department to start in September 2019.
This role will require an experienced TA, learning mentor, NQT or a professional who has worked with young adults who may have challenging behaviour, SEMH or ASC to support students aged between 11 and 16 years old who require additional support.
This school has their own inclusion room where if a child with SEN is struggling in their mainstream class, they are able to take their work to the inclusion room where they will be able to complete it with extra support and a nurture environment.
The successful candidate will work 1:1 and in small groups with the students who visit the inclusion room. There will also be times when support in mainstream classes is required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Recent experience supporting and working with children and young adults with special educational needs. This can be from a care or educational background
- A nurturing and patient approach to learning and understanding.
- Have a strong academic background. Grades A - C in Maths and English GCSE
Teaching Personnel offer competitive rates, WEEKLY PAY and do not use Umbrella companies to process your payment. Earn between £285 - £325 per week.
