This specialist primary school supports pupils with a range of additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, communication needs, and moderate to complex learning difficulties.

You will be working alongside a highly experienced team of teachers, SEN specialists, therapists, and support staff, all committed to providing the best outcomes for their pupils.

The Role

As an SEN Inclusion Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
• Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
• Assisting the class teacher with adapting learning activities
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and social interaction
• Using a calm, patient approach to support behaviour and routines
• Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from both experienced candidates and those with transferable skills, including backgrounds in:

• Care and support work
• Youth work or mentoring
• Nursery or early years
• Sports coaching or activity leadership
• Psychology or education graduates

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
