SEN Support Assistant

We are working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Cheetham Hill who are looking to appoint a caring and experienced SEN Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in KS1/KS2 with Autism.

This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, nurturing, and confident supporting children with communication and sensory needs.

About the Role

• Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism
• Assisting with communication, routines and personalised learning activities
• Working alongside the SENCo and class teacher to follow an individual support plan
• Helping create a calm, structured and predictable environment

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting children with Autism or additional learning needs
• Classroom experience within a school setting is essential
• Knowledge of Autism‑friendly strategies (visual timetables, sensory regulation, communication tools)
• A calm, understanding and supportive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
