We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join an outstanding secondary SEN provision in Urmston. This provision caters to students with a wide range of needs, including ASC, MLD, SLCN, and SEMH needs.

This is a full-time, long-term role with opportunities for professional development and career progression within this vibrant SEN provision. • Providing pastoral support to students, offering guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear when needed.
  • Collaborating with teachers and SENCO to implement individualised support plans for students with SEND, ensuring their needs are met in both academic and social settings.
  • Facilitating inclusive learning activities and promoting positive interactions among students with diverse needs.
  • Assisting with the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons, adapting materials and resources to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Supporting the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and SENCO as appropriate.

We are seeking an experienced educator with:

  • Significant experience working with students with SEMH needs, either as a HLTA or in a similar support role within a SEN setting.
  • A Psychology degree or similar qualification, providing a solid understanding of child development, behaviour management, and SEN provision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Adaptability and resilience, with the ability to respond effectively to the changing needs and challenges of students with SEND.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young people.

If you are an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a genuine desire to support students with SEND, we would love to hear from you! Join our team and become part of a supportive and inclusive learning community where every student is valued and empowered to succeed. Apply now to start your rewarding career journey with us.
