Our client secondary school located within the Bury LEA have an upcoming teaching assistant need within their support department.

Due to a temporary staffing gap, the school SENCO wishes to appoint a teaching assistant who holds previous experience supporting pupils who require additional support on a 1:1 basis within their studies.

This school is an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ secondary school located on the outskirts of Bury town centre. Due to a rare gap within their support department, this excellent opportunity has emerged within a well managed school where pupil behaviour is exemplary.

The position is full time position to start ASAP through till the end of the academic year (July 2017). The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to gain a permanent position in the new school year (September) with further opportunities within the department expected.

As a teaching assistant within this school, no day will be the same and the successful applicant will hold a number of responsibilities including;

*Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis within a range of subjects

*Providing general classroom support to class teachers

*Working directly within the support department assisting the learning of pupils with Autism, Dyslexia and EBD.
