SEN Teaching assistant Oldham

Due to a restructuring of our client schools support department, there is an immediate need for an experienced SEN teaching assistant to support identified students with additional needs for the remainder of this academic year.

- £50 - £60 per day, paid on supply

- Gain invaluable experience prior to teacher training

- Relevant experience to those wishing to work in SEN settings in the future

- Work as a 1:1 mentor and providing small group support to key students

- Full time position as SEN teaching assistant until July 2017

Based in Oldham, our client is a 14-19 college for pupils who have opted to make the move from mainstream education to study a technical vocational skill. The curriculum is developed in partnership with national employers to respond to the difficulties faced by employers when looking to appoint skilled engineers. The colleges aim is to provide this alternative education to ensure pupils are fully utilising their skills. The school specialises in STEM and students can benefit from excellent provisions for learning.

The school are looking to appoint an experienced SEN teaching assistant with previous experience supporting a number of identified learning and special education needs including ADHD, ASC and SEMH, and any applications with experience in these fields will be highly desirable. The post will provide the SEN teaching assistant to assume responsibility for relaying progress and feedback to department leads and the SENCo.
