A client school in Central Manchester (M12) are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full time basis. The post will start ASAP and will be on going until at least the end of the summer term. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN on a 1:1 basis and will be looking for a proactive role in a supported environment.

This larger than average, three form entry primary school has a well resourced SEN provision and is looking for a compassionate individual to assist a Year 2 child with down syndrome. The child spends the majority of the school day in the classroom but takes time out to complete tasks in the SEN provision where necessary. The child has no behavioural issues but needs support accessing the curriculum and integrating with other children with in the class. The child would benefit from a bubbly, energetic role model who has a happy and light hearted nature. Experience supporting downs syndrome isn’t essential, however prior experience supporting with SEN would be beneficial.
