My client is a specialist school based in Cheadle (Stockport), catering for young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties. They are seeking to employ a teaching assistant who has the ability to work on a 1:1 basis with young people who have needs that prevent them from functioning acadeically/socially in a group or school setting. This teaching assistant role will be working 1:1 with children currently without a school place, so the teaching assistant who is successful in their application will be required to travel as you could be working on different sites across stockport.

The successful teaching assistant will support young people acess a curriculm which is focused directly at their individual needs. This is managed through a Stockport school trust, the main school will provide work, it is then down to the teaching assistant to manage the young person in a way which enable them to make both education and social progress.
