Special Needs Support Officers Needed in Gwent

  • Regular work potentially leading to long-term roles

Teaching Personnel are looking for Teaching Assistants who have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to work in a Special Needs Schools and mainstream schools in the Gwent area. You will be required to work either on a one to one basis or in small groups. If you are passionate about working 1:1 with children with Special Needs then please do contact us. We work with schools who require candidates to have experience in the following fields as you may be required to work with children with the following additional learning needs:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

• Emotional Behaviour Difficulties (EBD)

• Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)

• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)

• Profound Moderate Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

• Hearing Impairment (HI)

• Visually Impaired (VI)

• Dyslexia/Dyspraxia

We are looking for candidates who have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs either on a one to one basis or within small groups.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
