Job description

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an SEMHSEMH Provision in the Cornwall area to recruit an experienced SEMHSEMH Teaching Assistant.

The roles are full time working from 8:30-3:30 5 days a week. The roles are working on a 1:1 basis supporting and mentoring the pupils. Being able to drive is required as you will be based on and off site to support the pupils timetable.

All applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to work with young people with challenging behaviours and have a minimum of 3 months experience working in a challenging setting. Although not mandatory, Team Teach or equivalent qualification is desirable.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with young people with SEMHSEMH or similar experience
  • CACHE Level 2 Supporting & Learning in Schools or equivalent
  • Patient and nurturing mannerism with excellent behaviour management skills
  • Team Teach or equivalent qualification is desirable.
