SEMH Teaching Assistant - 'Outstanding' Roman Catholic Primary school - Salford (M3)

Teaching Personnel are currently working with an 'Outstanding' Roman Catholic primary school who are looking for a teaching assistant to provide support to children across Key Stage 1 and 2 who have Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs within main stream class rooms. A high percentage of children in the school are from highly deprived areas and have little academic support at home. This has led to behavioural needs within classrooms and the head teacher wants to bring in a teaching assistant who can support these pupils, enable them to access the national curriculum and reach their full potential.

What the candidate will need:

• Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs
• Experience in phonics, Maths and English interventions
• A strong classroom presence and a resilient and nurturing attitude for children in a classroom setting

This Roman Catholic primary school has a warm and inclusive ethos and the school is looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join their thriving school community. The role will entail leading a small class of SEN pupils reaching learning targets and there will be daily planning involved.

The school are looking for someone who is confident, organised, who can use their own initiative to pick up from the hand over and take responsibility in leading the class, teaching assistants and meet pupil development targets.

• Pay rates are £55-65!
