SEMH Teaching Assistant
Join a popular secondary school in South Manchester looking for a Teaching Assistant to support on a full-time temporary basis from Easter. (April 2021)
The successful candidate will join our client schools SEN and Inclusion Team and will work within a committed and enthusiastic team. Working as an SEMH Teaching Assistant, the successful candidate will provide in-class support to support students in mainstream lessons. They will act a positive role model and will be able to create positive professional relationships with students from all backgrounds and learning abilities.
Additionally, they will work outside of the classroom with individuals and small groups of students to provide personalised support where appropriate. We are looking for a candidate who has experience working with challenging or vulnerable young people and will be able to provide emotional and academic support.
This large vibrant academy is located just a short drive from the city centre. Due to the schools location, the school serves a catchment area of high deprivation with a high number of students eligible for free school meals.
Highlights of this Teaching Assistant role:
- Working one-to-one and with small groups of students with Social, Emotional Mental Health.
- Introduction to a large secondary school in South Manchester easily accessible from the city centre.
- Full time role commencing at Easter. (April 2021)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
