SEMH Teaching Assistant

Job description

SEN Experienced teaching assistants- in demand across the Blackburn with Darwen area- Short and long term work available!

  • Experience with Special Educational Needs such as; SLCN, ASC and PD
  • Work in a number of Blackburn with Darwen Primary schools
  • Receive professional development and competitive rates of pay

This half term has seen an influx of schools in Blackburn with Darwen approaching Teaching Personnel in order to source SEN experienced teaching assistants to cover short term staff absences on a regular basis. Schools can book teaching assistants in advance and also call early in the morning depending on their needs within school.

With this type of work, it is important that you are flexible to the needs of the children you are supporting and are able to commute to a variety of locations in and around Leyland and Chorley. It is the expectation that every Teaching assistant will be able to use their own initiative and support the planning in place for individual and groups of children.

The majority of work we have found coming through this half term has been in the Primary years and so we are looking to recruit more teaching assistants in order to meet the demands of these schools.

If you have worked previously on a supply basis or if you are interested in doing so then please do not hesitate to contact me by email at carolann.creaneb@teachingpersonnel.com or ring me in the office on 01772 842155.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates applying to jobs through Teaching Personnel must undertake or have undertaken an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS – Full assistance provided (AGY).
