Behaviour Teaching Assistant, Dover

Teaching personnel are Englands largest education recruitment agency and we are working with a special day school for children with social, emotional and learning difficulties. Many of the pupils have ASD, ADHD or other difficulties such as attachment difficulties. The school has a mixed roll of 110+ students between the ages of 5 and 16.

The school has been assessed as Outstanding following the last three consecutive Ofsted inspections.At the school they combine academic success with a therapeutic, nurturing approach in order to best support the learning and emotional needs of our pupils.

We are looking to recruit a KS2 teaching assistant with SEN experience to work with a challenging student on a 1:1 basis. The candidate needs to have knowledge of SEN or challenging behaviour.

Ability to build relationships

A clear drive and passion for working with children

Creativity and initiative

Reliability and commitment

Knowledge of Key Stage 2 Curriculum

In order to be eligible, you must:

Have a DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one

Have demonstrable experience of working with children or adults with SEN

Be able to provide 2 recent references

Be a UK resident or eligible to work in the UK

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
