SEMH Teacher

SEN Teacher required in Preston

• Preston Pupil Referral Unit requires strong SEN Teacher
• Negotiable rates of pay dependant on experience £99-149 per day
• Long term position available with the potential to become permanent

A Preston based Pupil Referral Unit that Teaching Personnel work closely with is seeking a strong Teacher who is comfortable delivering Maths and Science to KS3/4 pupils - however the timetable will be heavily weighted with KS3. The School would ideally like a Maths or Science specialist, however, they are happy to accept a strong 'general' Teacher who has strong classroom management skills and experience working with pupils with SEMH difficulties and/or SEN.

The School is based on the outskirts of Preston and has close links to the M65 and M61 motorways. The School is smaller than average approx. 80 pupils and caters for students who have SEMH difficulties, Autism, Anxiety and students who often display challenging behaviours. The School is seeking a Teacher who can start after the Easter holidays and the role is due to continue until at least the summer, there is scope for this position to become permanent for the right candidate.

The candidate must be a qualified Teacher (FE trained Teachers will also be considered), you must have experience working with pupils who display challenging behaviours and experience teaching pupils with SEN would be ideal. The candidate must be comfortable delivering Science and Maths and be willing to cover other lessons when the need arises.
